Edge of Mind
Candid conversations with leading edge thinkers in the fields of science, philosophy, spirituality, psychology, health care, integral studies, and the arts to explore ancient teachings and modern topics about the nature of mind and reality.
A Note from Andrew:
In my silly busy life, I wanted to say a few words about why I take the time to host these podcasts. For selfish reasons, I have the precious opportunity to talk to some of the most interesting people on the planet. But the deepest reason, one that might actually be selfless, is that these conversations keep me humble and open. It’s so easy to fall into the trap that one’s own path, or way of looking at reality, is the best or only way. That you somehow know it all. Blind spots are a serious snare. Talking to others, being corrected by others, seeing the world through the eyes of others, is the best way I know to stay honest and open. I want people to show me what I’m not seeing. And a contest of ideas is a good thing, as long as no one intends to win this contest. If I surround myself with “yes” people, syrupy sycophants, that’s the end of my learning. If I maintain a “beginner’s mind,” and have people challenge my views, my education never stops. My guests on Edge of Mind take me to my edge — and often tip me over it. I can think of no greater gift. One that I hereby share with you.
